Apologetics Answering Relativism “I am the way, and the TRUTH, and the life.” – Jesus of Nazareth (John 14:6)
Truth used to be so precious that people would travel to the ends of the earth in pursuit of it. But today, Relativism has dethroned Truth, crowning itself the new king of the age. It has saturated the world around us, including our churches and our own lives, leaving us blind to Truth and its great worth, even when it is right before our eyes. It has stood as an obstacle to believing in God and the gospel, with the truths of the gospel relegated to something that simply “works for you, but not for me”.
Come learn how to recognize and respond to Relativism in our thinking and in the world around us, and how to become people of Truth once more.
Apologetics Answering Source Criticism (OT) Prerequisite: Course 101, Christian
Who wrote the Pentateuch and why does it matter? Modern skeptics argue that no one person could have written it, let alone a historical Moses – but does their theory really stand up to scrutiny? Come explore the arguments surrounding the source criticism debate and learn how to defend the Biblical view of the Pentateuch.
Apologetics Biblical Archaeology’s Greatest Hits How does archaeology square with the historical reliability of the Bible? What can archaeology prove or disprove? Find out through a survey of Biblical archaeology’s “greatest hits” from the Old Testament and New Testament periods in history.
Apologetics Case for Christ/Resurrection Did Christ really claim divinity? Bart Ehrman and scholars from the Jesus Seminar contend that Jesus was not the Son of God, but rather a simple itinerant preacher or a good moral teacher. Is this true? Find out about the validity of Christ’s claim as the Son of God and learn how to respond to new-age criticisms of Christ’s deity.
Apologetics Comparative Religions (Christianity, Islam, Buddhism) What justification can Christians offer, in contrast to Hindus, Jews, and Muslims, for thinking that the Christian God is real? The resurrection is God’s vindication of Jesus’ radical personal claims to divine authority. So how do we know that Jesus is risen from the dead? See why scholars claim the resurrection accounts of Jesus of Nazareth as the most widely attested historical event in history.

We will take an in-depth look at the philosophies & histories of Islam & Buddhism, with a focus on how they intersect/clash/merge with Christianity. We will cover the basics of Islamic & Buddhist philosophies and how they compare/contrast with the doctrines of Christianity.

Apologetics Do All Religions Lead to God? At the end of the day, do all religions lead to the same end? Are the world’s religions fundamentally the same and superficially different, or vice versa? What are the core tenents of religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Mormonism, and how is Christianity distinct? If they don’t lead to the same place, how do we remain tolerant and diverse?
Answer these questions with us as we explore: “Do all religions lead to God?”
Apologetics Problem of Suffering From earthquakes to crimes, from schoolyard bullies to international wars, the brokenness of the world is obvious. One of the biggest challenges every Christian and seeker must deal with is reconciling the existence of a good, loving, all-powerful God with the existence of evil and suffering in the world he created. This workshop is designed to present the issue and teach Christians how to respond in a logically coherent, biblically faithful, and loving manner when confronted with this apparent contradiction.
Apologetics Reasons for God / Does God Exist? Can anyone possibly conclude with reasonable certainty that God exists? Whether you are looking to defend your belief in God or skeptical about the rationality of theism, come join us as we explore the compelling evidence and arguments for the existence of God.
Apologetics Reliability of the Bible Christians say the Bible is the inspired word of God. How do we know this is true? Whether you have questions yourself, or want to learn how to dialogue with others who do, this workshop will equip you with evidence attesting to the reliability of the Bible. We’ll go over the common questions, including but not limited to: Why are there inconsistencies? How did people decide what to put in the Bible? Doesn’t that mean it is man-made, and not the word of God?
Apologetics Science & Faith Science & Faith: are they contradictory or complementary? We live in an era in which the explanatory power of science claims to render religion and God unnecessary. However, does science really answer everything? What do our observations of the world around us really tell us? We will examine whether intelligent people seeking truth have persuasive reasons to believe in God in an age of science.
Apologetics Untenability of Atheism Atheism is not the shining, comprehensive explanation for the world we live in, despite people frequently assuming it to be.

While sharing from my experience as a former atheist, and also my friendship with an atheist co-worker I’ve met up with to discuss this regularly for several years, I will walk you through a clear definition on atheism, some of the common reasons atheists cite for their belief, and give a refutation of the top reasons. Then, we will move to the offensive and show how the atheist worldview does a poor job of making sense of reality, and falls apart as a tenable worldview. By the end, I’m hoping your worldview is refined and you either have your own questions answered, or have gained ideas for how to discuss this topic with your atheist friends.”

Part rallying cry and part book talk from me (the church librarian) about some of the Christian books that have changed my life, I guarantee you will leave with a list of at least three books you can’t wait to start reading (or rereading)!
Disclaimer #1: We will cover books from Acts 2017’s “Intro to Devotional Classics” + more.

Christian Growth Evangelism Tools For many Christians, the scariest part of living out their faith is sharing it with others. This workshop is designed not only to equip Christians to more clearly and effectively share your faith, but also to inspire to actual action, to go. Hear real-life testimonies of people’s wins and wounds in their efforts to evangelize–and how God works through it all.
Christian Growth Gospel Conversations Prerequisites: Christian
Sharing the gospel with a friend, classmate or coworker can sound like a painful experience; we’re often afraid of not making sense or being offensive. Piquing spiritual interest on our campus seems impossible, and the prospect of receiving outright rejection and disdain is not only daunting, but seems to be the likely outcome. The reality, however, is all people are on a spiritual journey, and sharing the gospel with people is just like having a personal conversation with a friend. We’re all spiritual beings created in God’s image, implanted with a universal desire for eternity, meaning and truth, and a few thoughtful words from an interested (and intentional) friend can very quickly lead to a Gospel conversation.”
Christian Growth Growing Through Feedback We know that feedback is essential for healthy relationships and growth – but we dread it and often dismiss it. How can we turn evaluations, advice, criticisms, and coaching into productive listening and learning? This course condenses the 9 hour international best-selling book into a 2 hour workshop, and translates it into college contexts.
Christian Growth Growth Mindset Having a growth mindset means that you believe your intelligence, abilities, personality, and character are all malleable. In this course, you will understand the Biblical basis of having a growth mindset and learn practical tips to cultivate a growth mindset, identify growth areas, and make lasting changes.
